About The Event

This is a live online course and is designed for public safety dispatchers, call-takers, and sworn police officers and provides a three-dimensional view of the role of public safety dispatchers in critical incidents by exploring natural, criminal, and tactical events through the perspective of dispatchers and field operations. 

Under the instruction provided by a qualified instructor(s) each student will:

  • Demonstrate their understanding of a critical incident and its impact on dispatch operations.
  • Identify resources and officer safety considerations during a critical incident.
  • Analyze a critical incident case study and create checklists or resource guides for dispatch operations.
  • Identify resources regarding stress and emotional health-related to critical incidents. 

Registration: Slots (35) are available for Region 4 Telecommunicators on a first-come, first-serve basis, with priority seating for participating El Paso County 911 District agencies.
