About The Event

This course is designed for public safety dispatchers, call-takers, and sworn police officers and provides a three dimensional view to the role of public safety dispatchers in critical incidents by exploring natural, criminal, and tactical events through the perspective of dispatchers and field operations. 

Under the instruction provided by a qualified instructor(s) each student will:

  • Demonstrate their understanding of a critical incident and the impact on dispatch operations.
  • Identify resources and officer safety considerations during a critical incident.
  • Analyze a critical incident case study and create checklists or resource guide for dispatch operations.
  • Identify resources regarding stress and emotional health related to critical incidents. 

Registration: Slots are available for the first 20 Region 4 Telecommunicators on a first-come, first-serve basis, with priority seating for participating El Paso County 911 District agencies.
